Traffic restrictions: Carters Beach, 6 September 2024

Maritime NZ have instructed Buller District Council to restrict traffic and parking at Carters Beach for ongoing operations.

From 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Friday 6 September, traffic will be restricted to one-way flow on Golf Links Road and Marine Parade, commencing at the Cook Street intersection and terminating at Kupe Street.

Parking will be prohibited on the Carters Beach domain ground – from Kupe St north to Golf Links Road. Cones will be placed along this section to mark the no parking zone.

These alterations to traffic management are being taken under direction from Maritime NZ for the purposes of public safety during this critical phase of the recovery operation.
